Performers Venue: “15 Minutes of Fame”: Performers in a wide variety of styles, from the Irish Uilleann pipes to classical piano, folk guitar to spoken word, bluegrass and jazz, will be performing short samples of their talents at Studio Z in the Northwestern Building. Sponsored by the Art Crawl, with help from Zeitgeist New Music group, and with funding from the State Arts Board, this performance venue promises to be a “mini-feast” with appetizing tastes of some of the many performers and groups that make the Art Crawl so vibrant.
Times: Friday, Oct. 9, 6:30-10 pm. Saturday, Oct. 10, 1:00-5:00 pm.
Location: Studio Z – Northwestern Building, #200

Paint Along with Tacoumba: “Living Mural”: Everyone is invited to participate in the first public art piece featured in the Art Crawl! Well known Lowertown artist Tacoumba Aitken will be setting up in the PASPider, an innovative trailer/tent created out of recycled materials for Public Art St. Paul by Twin Cities artist Christopher Lutter-Gardella. Tacoumba will have paints and canvas available for all Art Crawl visitors to “get their hands into art,” and paint on the mural. Student helpers from ArtStart will be available to assist. Sponsored by the Art Crawl, with help from Public Art St. Paul and Ramsey County, and with funding from the State Arts Board.
Times: Saturday, Oct. 10, 12:30-4:30 pm. Sunday, Oct. 11, 12:30-4:30 pm
Location: Union Depot Lawn, rain or shine.

Art Vending Machine – get an original piece of art for only $5.00! altered esthetics and the Saint Paul Art Crawl are teaming up to present the first Art Vending Machine at the Art Crawl, featuring “little gems” cigarette pack-sized work by local St. Paul artists and others, all in a re-purposed antique cigarette vending machine. The proceeds from the sales of art will benefit altered esthetics and the Saint Paul Art Crawl. Times: Open during most of the Art Crawl.
