Performers Venue: “25 Minutes of Fame”: Performers in a wide variety of styles, from the Irish Uilleann pipes to classical piano, folk guitar to magic, will be performing short samples of their talents at Studio Z in the Northwestern Building. Sponsored by the Art Crawl, with help from Zeitgeist New Music group,  this performance venue promises to be a “mini-feast” with appetizing tastes of some of the many performers and groups that make the Art Crawl so vibrant.

: Saturday, October 8, 1:00-3:30pm. Sunday, October 9, 2:00-4:30pm.

Art Vending Machine – get an original piece of art for only $5.00! altered esthetics and the Saint Paul Art Crawl are teaming up to again present the very popular Art Vending Machine at the Art Crawl, featuring “little gems” – cigarette-pack sized work by local St. Paul artists and others, all in a re-purposed antique cigarette vending machine. The proceeds from the sales of art will benefit altered esthetics and the Saint Paul Art Crawl. Northern Warehouse Lobby, behind the Black Dog Cafe.

SoundCrawl: The McNally Smith Sound Crawl/Art Crawl Hybrid Marching Band Parade
Oct. 7th, from 6:00 to about 8:30 pm
The October Soundcrawl Parade on will feature a much longer-length marching, strolling, rocking and rolling hybrid music and art celebration than ever before–all brought to you by McNally Smith College of Music.
The parade will muster in front of MSCM at about 5:30 pm and start off down Cedar towards the river at 6:00. At Fifth St., the parade will then turn left towards Mears Park, which will be the final parade destination. Groups will continue to circle and perform around and in Mears Park unto 8:30 or later, and will provide a perfect send-off to the evening’s Art Crawl Festivities. Scheduled to perform:

• Master Framers Gallery – Special guest artists Jeffrey T. Larson & son Brock Larson. Jeffrey T. Larson is a well-known area artist trained at Atelier Lack, and his work has been shown throughout the nation. He has been the subject of numerous magazine articles and several television shows. Brock Larson is a rapidly-rising young artist, and his work is popular with collectors, and he sells out every show. He has also been featured on tv, and in various articles. Also showing: potter Patty Rau and woodturner Otto Gotzsche, whose wood-turned cowboy hat is a show-stopper.
